FreeNX – Ubuntu LogMeIn

Recently, I blogged about a method of remote controlling your Linux home pc from another location via the Internet.

What I didn’t mention was FreeNX:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FreeNXThe free NX Berlios project: http://freenx.berlios.de/ is based on the libraries of NoMachine: http://www.nomachine.com/
It’s open source software which allows you to remote back home and control your pc using SSH for secure encryption.

SSH is a pre-requisite so make sure you have this installed and configured. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SSHHowto
