The version 10.1 was e last one compiled for the PPC and ey really got e performance in order on that one - any G4 above 1.5 and any G5 will have zero problems in playing back YouTube in SD. There is rumour that Apple will move to AMD chips and ATI graphics. If this happens will Intel/NVIDIA users be left in the same position at some point - maybe not video but maybe AMD specific code in the OS? Annoying and I hate to say more common that people realise.
